Introducing Essential Farms

A WORKSHOP FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T NORMALLY DO YOGA

Introducing Essential Farms, a destination for Yoga.   Home of Essential Yoga, Goat Yoga Rockford, and Home Made By Ruth.

OCTOBER 11 & 12, 2019

October 11 & 12 will be a special celebration of Essential Farms and the opening of the Yoga Studio.  It has been a year and a half since we decided we wanted to do something with that old pig barn, that something is a beautiful yoga studio. The studio was created with one of the goals to be a peaceful, and charming place to practice yoga.  Another goal was to make our classes welcoming to everybody, no matter your level of experience with yoga.

Our retail space will be open during the whole workshop as well as a demonstration of Essential Oils being distilled.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

A gentle yoga practice where poses are held with the assistance of props to allow you to surrender and relax deeply into the poses

MEDITATION

In meditation, we’re learning how to pay attention to the breath as it goes in and out, and notice when the mind wanders from this task. This practice of returning to the breath builds the muscles of attention and mindfulness.

FOAM ROLLER FOR SELF HEALING

Manage your stress, stiffness and pain with stretching, breath and the magic foam roller. Learn how to use your own body weight in tandem with the foam roller to release tension from your muscles, relieve stiffness and improve flexibility.

GOAT YOGA

Goat yoga combines a gentle yoga session and some one-on-one time with our adorable and well-trained farm goats. Bonding with animals has many benefits to people's essence and well-being.  The little goats add a fun and inspiring element to the traditional yoga experience.
